This is my all time favorite game. I have spent countless hours playing this game, and learning more and more about the game. The game is challenging and exciting. I just have to say it is worth the price.

Ive just bought the app recently and it crashed at the character selection. Ive wasted three dollars and I cant even play. But, Ive played this on my friends phone and it was pretty fun. Please fix it.

This game is so fun and addicting but the crabs are to op they are so hard to kill unless u get a good weapon early which is rare :( debuff plz Also add multiplayer plz me and my friends want to play with each other and if u do add it make the game a little harder just so its fair

This is an awesome reimagining of the game Brogue. Great pixel graphics with challenging gameplay. Been looking for a good roguelike for my phone, and this is exactly what I wanted!

Ive been playing this game for over 2 years now. Always a good challenge and great sense of discovery. If its too difficult at first-- stick with it, check out the extensive wiki for some help. Great Reddit community around this game too. No ads or paid dlc or expansions or pay to lvl or pay to look good makes this the most fulfilling mobile game Ive played in years.

I cant get past the dwarf king guy lol. I love the surprises, animated statues, pit rooms only accessible from above, breaking, enchants, potions, scrools, seeds, war hammers, battle axes, armor, magic, suspense, shops, bosses, this list go on for freaking years. its literally the best game out there, hands down, it puts popular games to shame.... and may even kill them!

I seriously do not like this game. So much that I play it at least twice a day & die in agony!!! Only complaint is that it could be about 5% easier. Other than that a challenging dungeon & monster slaying game!

The game is great!, but the major problem with it is that if you quit mid game, it will crash your phone, this also happens with the steam version. This is more of a bug report more than a review.

Captures old school spirit, but also the requirement to plan and not stumble through. A few monsters on floors 3 & 4 have been ridiculous. Perhaps running is necessary, because fighting them is like hitting a rock wall. I will update this review... am keeping the app till I finish with at least one character.

I have an idea for an update. It would be cool if there was multiplayer in this because it would make more sense when you die you drop all of your items.

Game has potential but since you have to deal with food being an issue as well as all items degrad as you use them if you improve items which you need to do to survive as you go deeper, the items break even faster. Even though there are multiple classes and then sub classes to choose from, you pretty much have to try and get plate armour for all classes. So you end up playing all classes the same using same strategy to attempt to win. So much potential, ends up being disappointing.

If you are a fan of crawlers like Stone Soup, and want a taste of such on your mobile device, this is where to get it. Perfectly difficult, replayable, all around great game. Thanks to the developers (:

Look, a lot of ppl are complaining that its too hard because theyre missing some crucial information! I just played several games before realizing (thru an accidental click) that you can double tap a hero in the selection screen for tons of game changing character information!! Dev. Seriously. There is no indication that this info is there waiting to be read. Its not trivial, its important and your desire for concise interface elements (which is a great desire) is too extreme. So extreme that youre hurting your ratings by alienating players. Fix it. Add an [info] button under each.

Tough game but really entertaining and different playthroughs every time. Immersive and takes a while to figure out the mechanics but that is a good thing as it increases the longevity of the game!

Bro this is a good game but it does need a difficulty setting or a decrease because the sewer crabs are too difficult

I am a longtime fan of Roguelike games for desktops, and I have been looking for a mobile app that captures that kind of experience for quite some time. Pixel Dungeon is one of the best I have found so far. While it necessarily lacks the depth and complexity of a desktop version, it does a great job of capturing the spirit of the genre in a more compact package, with an easy to use interface and a very challenging degree of difficulty. Those reviewers who complain that the game is too difficult and that it doesnt give you all of the gameplay information up front have obviously missed the point of this genre. Discovering the hidden secrets and tricks of the game via multiple humiliating defeats is the very heart of Roguelike gameplay. When you finally beat the game, it feels like a real accomplishment. Or at least I assume that it will. Im on my 49th play, and I just made it to level 11 and died. And that is a very good thing.

Oh hey look. A developer can make a randomly generated game that is impossible to win except by virtue of luck. To anyone who likes this game I can save you money. Buy 6 dice, roll them until you get all 6s twice in a row. Proclaim "I have won." There. Exactly like this game.
